T-6

via Genova 30
Roma 00184
Italy

http://www.t-6.it/

T6 was established in Rome in 1999 with the goal of assisting companies, the Public Administration and the local communities to use ITC technologies and European funds for seizing economic development opportunities.

Initially we focused on the management of ICT projects in the area of tourism and we set up the first European infrastructure for the sharing of information among the operators of this sector. From the technological standpoint, T6 has acquired considerable experience in the design of destination management systems an

d in solving information systems interoperability and integration problems.
From the management standpoint, we have gained thorough knowledge of the problems linked to the governance of international projects, in particular European Union projects.

T6 has managed Projects funded by the Commission under various programmes (FETISH, DAFNE, ASWAD, HARMONISE, DBE) and has provided consulting services to several public administration entities for Community projects and programmes. The outcome of this work is an extensive network of international relationships.

T6 interacts with a variety of partners: companies, public bodies, central institutions, associations and local communities. This variety of partners has been instrumental in enabling T6 to extend its activities to another sector which is strategic for environmental protection and for the economic development of local communities.

This is how T6 Ecosystems came into being with the aim of studying environmental problems in view of area development and of managing projects for the prevention of and protection from natural risks. Two projects, ARMONIA and Scenario, were then developed to harmonize existing natural risk assessment instruments and the methods for scenario analysis and for decision-making support, which were then to be used in the framing of social, economic and environmental policies.

All of these experiences have led to the current activities of T6. T6 blends together technological and environmental research. Today T6 offers consulting services designed on the basis of a model centred on the concept of digital and natural ecosystem.

The European EMAS Awards 2008 ceremony took place on 20th November in Brussels
