"EMAS Toolkit for small organisations" website

Since it was established in 2002 Eco-conseil Entreprise has been concerned with protecting its environment.

To ensure we apply the practices we preach and in the context of on our commitment to go further with environmental protection, Eco-Conseil Entreprise decided in 2005 to implement an environmental management system according to EMAS. This means that ECE is committed to preventing pollution related both directly and indirectly to its activities through a process of continually improving its environmental performance, performance monitored with a set of environmental performance indicators. Eco-Conseil Entreprise is also committed to going beyond legal compliance.

In this context, Eco-conseil Entreprise has set itself the following overall objectives:

  • To optimise travel for work purposes, giving preference to more sustainable means of transport and using teleconferencing as a tool for work.
  • To offset travel-related CO2 emissions by purchasing green certificates from a Swiss organisation which invests in Clean Development Mechanisms in Africa and Asia.
  • To reduce gas consumption and convert to green electricity.
  • To adopt eco-consumption practices and sustainable purchasing in our day-to-day activities.
  • To develop innovative tools as a driver for change in companies and SMEs through environmental management systems.
  • To establish a pre-project screening process in place which integrates the principles of sustainability.

Eco-conseil Entreprise aims to become a forerunner among consulting companies in the field of environmental protection, in the same way as it already is in terms of the innovative methods and approaches its has developed since it was established.
